About Us

Electricity and heat generation account for 30% of UK final energy consumption. 35.8% of electricity and heat generated are derived from renewable sources, which are heavily subsidised. The REL energy production plants are commercially viable in their own right.
Worldwide the growing population is producing ever more waste. Despite increased recycling rates, the decreasing landfill space and capacity leaves a growing residual waste problem requiring innovative solutions for its disposal. In order to dissuade international waste exporters, the EU is implementing taxes on waste imports, initially in the Netherlands, resulting in a consequential price increase to UK and other exporters.
